Responsible for managing and oversee the entire accounting function of the company, ensuring accurate, complete, and timely accounting records in full compliance with Finance/ Accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. The role serves as the key gatekeeper of accounting data integrity, providing reliable and consistent financial data to the Finance team and Management for reporting and decision-making purposes.
1. Accounting Operations Management
• Lead and supervise all accounting operations, including GL, AR, AP, invoicing, inventory, and e-commerce accounting, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
• Oversee daily cash management, company bank transactions, account reconciliations, and cash-flow planning to maintain operational stability.
• Control expenses and supplier payments, ensuring all documentation is valid, transparent, and compliant.
• Ensure all VAT invoicing for customers (B2B and B2C) is accurate and fully compliant with regulations.
• Work closely with Vietnam Supply Chain, Regional teams, and factories to review and ensure the validity, accuracy, and compliance of import-related input invoices and supporting documentation for accounting and tax purposes.
• Manage and take ownership of accounting entries and periodic closing, ensuring records are accurate, complete, and consistent.
2. Finance & Accounting Reporting
• Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, manuals, SOPs, and internal guidelines aligned with Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and applicable international accounting standards.
• Manage and continuously improve closing processes; review journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting records to ensure data integrity and financial governance.
• Prepare or review timely and accurate financial statements; ensure submission to authorities and internal stakeholders according to regulatory deadlines.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and regulators; coordinate annual statutory audits and address audit findings effectively.
3. Tax & Statutory Compliance
• Take full ownership of tax obligations, filings, and year-end finalization; manage related risks and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Act as primary contact for tax authorities, auditors, and external tax consultants during inspections, reviews, or ad-hoc advisory engagements.
• Maintain accurate tax accounting and reconciliation; provide timely documentation of tax obligations.
• Provide tax consultancy to internal stakeholders on business models, product structures, promotions, projects, and other tax-related matters.
• Identify and mitigate tax risks; ensure effective tax planning aligned with regulations.
4. Governance & Finance Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements related to finance, accounting, tax, and corporate filings.
• Establish, implement, and monitor internal control frameworks (P2P, O2C, Payroll, Fixed Assets, Treasury) to ensure accuracy, transparency, reliability of financial data, and safeguard company assets.
• Support risk management and compliance initiatives, including preparation for internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory assessments.
5. Leadership & BOD Advisory
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting and finance team, ensuring high performance, professional growth, and alignment with company goals.
• Serve as a key advisor to the Board of Directors (BOD), including analysis of accounting regulatory changes, risk forecasts, and recommendations for action plans.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration to support business initiatives and ensure financial governance across all departments.
• Other ad-hocs task will be assigned by the BOD.
1. Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Professional certification is a plus (CPA, ACCA, CPA-V, or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, and tax, including at least 3 years in a managerial role such as Chief Accountant, Accounting Manager, or General Accountant. Background from Commercial, Trade, Retail, Ecommerce industry's companies are a plus
• Proven experience managing full-cycle finance (cost) controlling, accounting operations, financial reporting, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
• Experience working with ERP/accounting systems (refer MISA AMIS).
• Exposure to e-commerce and coordination with import-related documentation and factory operations.
2. Technical Knowledge & Competencies
• Deep understanding of Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS) and tax regulations.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus.
• Experience and understanding of accounting processes related to e-commerce, B2B offline sales, and import/export invoice. Can work in details.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, with a strong sense of accountability.
• Good communication skills both of English and Vietnamese are MUST REQUIRED.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
