1. Production:
-Meet production targets and ensure that due dates are met, and product meets company specifications
-Minimize material waste and material needed for rework
-Manage material usage and evaluate processes which would maximize the life of material
-Establish SOPs to ensure smooth operational flow
-Minimize machine down time
-Thoroughly understand the capacities of all machines and how to maintain long operating life
-Ensure data and reports are accurately managed (WIP, output, downtime, yield, etc.)
-Improve quality management system.
-Drive process improvement initiatives, identifying bottle necks and implement new procedures to increase throughput
-Manage data input into ERP system
2. Planning:
-Work closely with the planning department to ensure resources are allocated properly and product is delivered by due date
-Effectively manage worker’s time schedule, minimizing overtime
-Manage production planning to ensure on time delivery
-Control Work in process
3. Productivity and New Process/Product Development:
-Identify opportunities to increase productivity
-Introduce new processes which achieve increase output and efficiency
-Collaborate with R&D to develop new products for market
4.Effective Worker Management:
-Increase worker productivity
-Introduce incentive programs for increased output
-Ensure employees are properly trained and prepared for each position
-Train employees on technical and procedural knowledge so that all employees develop the same habits of operation.
